A Short Resume

Wolfgang Kellerer is a Senior Manager at NTT DoCoMo's European Research labs in Munich, Germany, heading the Service Platform & Middleware Technology group, focusing on mobile service platforms, ubiquitous communications, peer-to-peer, sensor networks, cross-layer design, and service mobility. Before he joined DoCoMo he has been a member of the research and teaching staff at the Institute of Communication Networks at Munich University of Technology (TUM). In 2001 he was a visiting researcher at the Information Systems Laboratory of Stanford University, California, US. He received received a Dipl.-Ing. Univ. (MSc) and a Dr.-Ing. (PhD) degree in electrical engineering and information technology from Munich University of Technology, Germany, in December 1995 and in January 2002, respectively. His PhD (Dr.-Ing.) thesis is entitled "Serverarchitecture for Network Independent Service Control in Heterogeneous Communication Networks". His current research interests are service platform technologies for next generation mobile communications.

He is a member of IEEE ComSoc, and the German Electrical Engineering Society (VDE - ITG). In 2004 and 2005 he has been serving as the elected Vice Chairman of the Working Group 2 (Service Architecture) of the Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF). He is serving as area editor for Elseviers Journal on Computer Networks (COMNET) and as a guest editor for IEEE Communications Magazineon Mobile Service Platforms.
