1. Network Planning and Optimization

The Institute of Communication Networks is doing research in the topic of Next Generation Networks. Diploma/Master as well as Bachelor and Master Thesis are done in the following areas:

  • Network Planning and Traffic Engineering of IP and MPLS networks
  • Optimization towards cost-efficient and highly reliable networks
  • Design and Simulation of Automatic Switched (All) Optical networks

2. Mobile Networks - Ad Hoc and MiMo

The Institute of Communication Networks is doing research in the topic of Next Generation Networks. Diploma/Master as well as Bachelor and Master Thesis are done in the following areas:

  • Mobile base station placement
  • Simulation of Location Information Support in mobile Network Environments

Teaching:
